Covid-19 Measures

People considering taking a guided tour may understandably have concerns about their health and safety.

But with the UK's professionally qualified and highly trained Blue Badge Guides, you will be in extremely capable hands.

As part of our thorough training, badged guides are expert in effective and sensitive group management techniques, on streets and at tourist sites.

The professional tourist guidng associations have created the Covid-19 Guidance for Tourist Guides. As a member of the British Guild of Tourist Guides and the Institute of Tourist Guiding, I am expected to follow this guidance during the Covid-19 crisis. Read the full statement here

In addition, the 'We're Good to Go' standard mark from Visit England confirms that I follow government and industry Covid-19 guidelines. Details here

What will a tour look like?

  • tours will be semi-private with a maximum of 5 people per group
  • semi-private means a small group, on-demand tour (if your group is less than 5 people then very often you will have your own private tour, but it may be open for others to join)
  • distancing maintained between the guide and all guests
  • tours are conducted entirely outdoors and crowded areas avoided
  • the guide will wear a face shield
